Garden Tours

In 2022, we started organizing customer garden tours where our customers would open up their beautiful gardens for others to enjoy and get inspiration for their own yards. Since then, other organizations have started organizing native plant garden tours, so we encourage you to join them. Here are a few opportunities.”

Deep Roots Habitat Garden Tours

Each year, Deep Roots selects several home gardens around the Kansas City metro that highlight native plants. These gardens range in styles and locations and you can find a little something for everyone at the different sites. To register for the tour or nominate a garden, visit their website: Habitat Garden Tours - Deep Roots.

Sow Wild Natives Gardens

You’re always welcome to explore our gardens during our regular business hours. We have gardens for different moisture conditions, such as our “Wall Garden” with quick-draining soil, “Mulberry Garden” rain gardens, our new "Monarch Waystation" and "Bumblebee garden", and well established bioswale “Pond Garden”. Visit us to get inspired and shop for your own garden.

Grow Native Gardens of Excellence

The Grow Native Gardens of Excellence, located throughout the lower Midwest, are another excellent place to get inspired by native gardens. There are several Gardens of Excellence in the KC metro (such as the four pictured below), and you can check out more awesome native gardens on your next road trip.
